The invisible God

There's a type of fungus that has developed a really impressive defense against starvation. On favorable conditions these fungi live their life as normal fungi, decomposing dead leaves between the roots of trees, but when they are lacking some nutrients they turn into carnivore and hunt nematode worms with spears and invisible threats.

I imagined there could be a village of tiny people that use worms as livestock. One day the fungus that lives in their lands gets hungry and starts eating the village's worms. They don't know what's happening as fungi are most of the time too small to be seen. Fortunately for these tiny people, the elders remember this has happened before and know how to stop it. They must find an ancient temple deep into the forest and feed "the invisible god" so things get back to normal!
